The superb fairy wren is one of my all-time favourite little birds. They are all through our garden and nest under my studio/gallery deck. They are restless and hyperactive much of the time racing from one teensy insect to the next. As a result of them and the skinks our garden is a hyperactive world and we have few insect pests in this complex ecosystem. We use no pesticides and it is quite a job to manage a large garden for biodiversity but so worth it when these little guys hop around your feet while you are scratching through the leaf litter. I hope you enjoy him as much as his new owners do.
