It’s early summer and the sweet grass is lush and long. Kangaroos are well fed and joeys are emerging from the warm and safe protection of their mothers’ pouches to taste the fresh clean air of a vibrant morning.

Happy to take the opportunity of a relaxed snooze in the morning air this mother still needs to make sure her youngster is safe from prying eyes. She finds the deep shade of our fig tree to be exactly what is needed and settles into the shadows to rest while leaving her body as a cosy, comfortable back rest for her treasured joey.
